Combi boilers will do the job even in the smallest home

Combi boilers have so many positive features to them; with one of the most outstanding being that they take up very little space. This should never be a reason to choose a combi boiler over some of the alternatives; however with younger couples needing to make use of every inch of floor space, the minute amount of floor space that a combi boiler will take up should certainly be taken into consideration.

The latest models of combi boilers come complete with balanced flues that include all the components required to install a fully comprehensive central heating system. These items are usually placed either in the loft or in a cupboard beneath the stairs. If the combi boiler is to be installed in an apartment, then the only option is a cupboard.

Once the boiler is in place, all that is required is to install the radiators that you need and all the piping to distribute the warm water, and you will have a fully active system and the warm glow of heat when you need it.

Combi boilers haven't been around for that long, but certainly have taken their share of the market in the time that they have been on sale in the U.K., leaving the conventional wall mounted boiler in its wake. When you compare conventional gas boilers with combi boilers you will find that there are two main differences. As far as central heating is concerned, with combis the system is fully pumped. However all the heated water in circulation is sealed? Because there are no open vents, there is no need for either feed or expansion tank in the loft. Additionally, there is no need to invest in integral hot water storage as well as a hot water storage tank.

With combi boilers, hot water is produced almost immediately on demand; all you need to do is open the tap, thanks to a cost-effective integral heat exchanger.

Hot water supply to the radiators in the winter can also be maintained while maintaining immediate hot water for all domestic needs. The combi has been programmed to automatically suspend supply of hot water to the central heating as long as there is a hot water tap open.

The combi boiler offers so much for the energy consumer of the 21st century and it is little wonder that it has captured the imagination of so many! All that power and flexibility in such little space!
