Squeeze that extra penny of value from your gas boiler
Sometimes home owners just fail to absorb exactly how important it is to squeeze that extra penny of value from their gas boiler. Think about it. If you increase boiler efficiency by just five percent, you can bring about savings of hundreds of pounds every year, and thousands in the life of your gas boiler.
If you think that that figure sounds like it is up in the air, you would be right. Because it is in the air that much of the wastage of energy around your boiler is happening, and all it needs to invest in an already proven technology to get your energy costs down to ground level.
Energy experts now confirm that natural gas boilers and appliances run on a UK average of between 80 to 85% of their maximum efficiency. The remaining energy escapes through the chimney in the form of gases and condensation. You can dramatically reduce this figure by installing a simple but effective piece of equipment known as a condensing economizer. A condensing economizer will almost certainly increase your efficiency levels so that they will reach as high as 95%. That figure translates itself into reductions in energy use, and cost savings that count.
Many of us have seen the news reports about the future of our planet and very are concerned. Summers are slowing getting hotter, more rain is falling during winter, and every strong storm is becoming a stronger storm. Science has led many to believe that Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is the main reason for this climate predicament, much of which is coming from the emission of industrial flue gases.
The principal components that escape in normal flue gas include vapourised water. Installing a condensing economiser converts the vapours back into a liquid form that can be used for a variety of purposes around the home, or to water the plants in the garden. Water is also in short supply, and prices are also on the increase. Another few pennies saved in the battle to cut costs and help the environment.
Take the time to find out what installing a condensing economiser will bring and its potential to save costs. While it may involve a short term investment, you will be investing wisely for the future not just to save money but also playing your part in helping the environment.
