How long will it take to transfer my account?
Depending on the circumstances, it can take between 6-8 weeks to transfer your account. During an account transfer, British Gas’ superior customer service ensures an easy switch since your account manager will complete all the paperwork for you. Once the switch has been complete, you will receive a letter from British Gas welcoming you to the service and offering useful information.

What information does British Gas need when I move premises?
Contact your account manager as soon as you know that you will be moving. They will ask you to provide them with a forwarding address, information about who will take over the premise, and a final meter reading.
Who will supply energy to my new premise?
As soon as you know that you will be moving, contact your account manager. They will be able to provide you with information about who currently supplies energy to your new premises and the options that British Gas Business can provide. British Gas would be happy to continue supplying energy at your new premises and you can sign up online.
