Condensing Boilers
Condensing Boilers are a high efficiency boiler, recapturing heat that would otherwise be lost.
Condensing boilers start at 88%, which is a Sedbuk B rating. British Gas Boilers are only sold as Sedbuk A rated boilers, meaning that they are at least 90% efficient.
Condensing boilers are a favourite with those who want to save on their monthly bills and protect the environment. A condensing boiler from British Gas will turn more fuel into heat by catching wasted heat from a heat exchanger. These boilers are available as both gas and oil, and although they carry a higher price tag, they result in significantly lower energy bills.
Condensing boilers are an excellent option to help with the environment, as the UK Government aims to reduce CO2 levels by 20%. In fact, condensing boilers are such a good idea that changing legislation now makes them mandatory.
A condensing gas boiler may have a seasonal efficiency of around 88% compared to non-condensing boiler at about 75%, and an older type boiler at 55%-60%.

Advantages:
- Less carbon dioxide produced so they are more environmentally friendly
- Use less gas
- Low Monthly Fuel Bills
- High efficiency
