Save money on your next British Gas bill

British Gas is constantly seeking ways to ensure that their clients are able to heat and power their homes at affordable rates, but everyone can do their part to conserve energy at home and at the office.

Here are some fast ways that you can save money on your next British Gas bill.

1. Compare prices.

Not a British Gas customer yet? Or, perhaps you only use British Gas for some services and not others? Take a look at the offers available on this site and compare them to the rates you pay to your current provider. Some households can save on their energy bills by switching to British Gas.

2. Use the suggested method of payment.

In an age of technology some payment methods are more efficient than others, and British Gas passes along the savings to you. If you are currently paying by cheque, consider taking advantage of incentives to switch to online or direct debit payment methods.

3. Make a conscious decision about your home’s temperature.

Many people set their thermostat once and then never think about it again. Yet there are times when your home doesn’t have to be as warm, or when one or two degrees wouldn’t be noticed. There are likely even times when your home feels too warm! By taking a moment each day to think about your home’s temperature and planning to keep the heat at the lowest comfortable level, you can save big and stay warm.

4. Take the EST Home Energy Check.

The Energy Savings Trust website offers an online Home Energy Check to help you save money by evaluating how and where your home uses its energy. Take your test today.
