What is the labour policy for maintenance and breakdown services?
British Gas employs over 8000 certified engineers to help ensure that your maintenance and service will be handled by one. However, in rare instances where a British Gas engineer is unable to attend your home, British Gas will send a duly qualified contractor. This makes sure that you receive the service you need.
Can I apply for Breakdown cover if my supplier for gas or electricity is not British Gas?
Yes, HomeCare coverage is available even if you are not a British Gas customer.
Can I only apply if British Gas installed my boiler?
No. Boilers that have essential working parts available and are approved by British Gas during the initial Safety Inspection are eligible, even if British Gas did not install them.
